A modern air-to-air split unit works as a heat pump: heating more efficiently than electricity in winter and cooling in summer. If used for heating, it qualifies under the Nová zelená úsporám scheme: vulnerable households can receive a direct grant of up to 100 000 Kč via the NZÚ Light sub-programme, while others have access to an interest-free loan.
